I am seeing lot of guys filed in july2nd, not many in in july3rd to july16 filer.

Write letters to Ombudsman, USCIS, DHS, Senators. Keep writing until they listen
Somebody gave a red at "05:13 AM" with comments: "letters..stupid idea?" - I am not here to become famous and become IV-CEO or something :-) so red does not matter. This is height of someone's frustration though ...instead of coming up with some idea - just criticize other's ideas..and that too at 5AM in the morning (or around that time in different timezone)..you must be a manager dude :D

My employer says EVL is not required for 485 filing. How do I make him understand that it is required? Any links from USCIS website or any authentic info will be helpful. I searched and couldn't find it!! TIA

Thank you Aman & all the other immigration voice members who have spent so much time, energy and resources in advocating on behalf of all of us. I have been working in the non-profit sector for the past 8 years and from experience suggest that in order for this movement/advocacy campaign to sustain it is important for us to have a system in place where core campaign members are reimbursed for their past and recurring expenses. Just wanted to give you an update on my FP notice. Finally I got FP notice today schedule for 01/29/08. I guess Infopass appointment works. I had infopass appointment on 21st of Dec 2007 and IO told me I should expect FP within 3 weeks . I guess USCIS has started working after a long break. Hang on guys.

March bulletin is out. Still no signs of improvement.
Looks like a long wait for us. Whether you are 2004 or 2007 there is no set period of time for getting GC's.
I think we need to fight this randomness and ineffeciency on part of the Govenrment.
Come on lets get together and try to solve our problems.
Come on lets contribute.

Hi Maag,
I did not land yet. Planning to give away canada PR. Its too much of risk being on AP/EAD. I have too many things on stake in US like Home, Nice Jobs for me and my wife..don't want to risk all that.
As it is i don't think I will ever settle in Canada, i had applied at a time when my US labor was stuck in backlog for almost 5 years but now things have changed and if i ever have to leave US I think I will go back to my home country; as it is after being here for 8 years I don't have energy to start all over again in some new country.
What have you decided? do you know the procedure to get landing fee back?
I am also giving up canada PR, i had also applied at the time my green card process was not moving, also i don't have any job offer as of now in canada, i don't want to leave what's in hand in hope of something similar (can't say better). I don't know procedure to get landing fees back and will soon be working on that.

Where the hell all these guys when EB3 is getting 80K to 100K of total 140K visas all these years and EB2 is getting just merely 10%-15%. Nobody from EB2 didn't felt jealous like this before. It is hard to digest for them now.
When EB3 was getting 100K visas in past, it wasn't EB3-I. It was all 265i applicants who took all those numbers and EB3-I was still getting only 3000 visas everyyear (except 2007 bcoz of Jul fiasco).
Thats why EB3-I is retrogressed so heavily.

Plain and simple question, are you a donor or a volunteer.. if yes.. then you must be aware of
the different initiatives that IV has taken up for EB3, which I guess you are not aware of.
As you don't want to donate or volunteer what makes you think that you can tell IV on what to do and what not to do.. Are you even associated in anyways.
I have never ever seen such a big thankless following of a group. Everyone is in trouble and everyone has problem but cannot donate.
Wanted to write a lot more , but I think its not worth it. I just hope your conscious makes you feel ashamed of this attitude of yours.
I don't usually comment on such posts and I have seen a lot of people take the side I am about to take. I just think you are being unnecessarily rude. It is these people and their opinions that cause IV to exist as a group. Lets say you are going to lock membership only to people paying a membership fee every month. How big a group are you going to get?
If it is going to be significant, then maybe that's the way IV should go and should just shut down public forums where there are members who can talk and members who have "not bought their right to talk"
I bring up the "monthly membership" issue because I did make donations on multiple occasions (you should probably look up your records and verify). And yet, under the new design, I am not a donor, I do not get access to the exclusive threads that only the privileged monthly members do. So, just like the OP, I am a thankless member who thinks the group is thankless. So, I do not know what initiatives IV has taken, but yet, I linger around the forums because it has so many smart people throwing around ideas, working on theories and just being friendly.
Maybe you should just create a little forum of yours in one corner and put walls around so no one can come in and make suggestions about things you won't tell them about. Does it take that much effort to be nice to someone? Just remember that he is free to tell you what to do irrespective of who he is. What you actually do is upto you. Just be nice for a change, it will make you get a whole new perspective on life!

I'm going to call Texas Tomorrow ! If i call USCIS they never transfers to TSC or NSC easily.

It seems like all the LUDs on approved I140 from Texas for July filers is pointing towards their I485 being sent to Texas too. Hence, this unimaginable prolonged delay. Can we do anything about it except sulk?
