As this is my crucial time of my life, anyone from our IV members please help/Advice
Q1) I understand that, there is no need to inform USCIS about our changing jobs using AC21, In my case my company provided their own Lawyer. How can I change that lawyer to my personal lawyer (I signed G28 for current lawyer)
Q2) Is it advisable to move forward with out a lawyer, if I decide not to inform USCIS about my job change using AC21 OR is it always advisable to go with lawyer (share your experiences)
Q3) If I want to represent my case on my own after AC21 (Signed G28 with current lawyer), How should I do that, When should I inform USCIS about this (before the AC21 kicks in -how much in advance)
Q4) If the 140 is approved, 180 days from 485 is passed, does employer still have a right/chance to revoke/deny the I140??? (I heard a rumor that it is possible)
Q5) Is that possible, If I call USCIS that they will verify my I 140 information � Because my employer never provided me with approved I 140 copy � I have only receipt number

Well, culture has tremendous impact on people. Looking at the state of our country, what have we become in last 63+ years? Major percentage of population still live under poor living conditions. We are one of the most corrupted countries in the world. Some people want to live in denial. Boasting about greatness that doesn't exist is of no use to the current and future generations. We have to make our country great by changing the conditions. In order to do that, first we need to acknowledge that there are serioous issues. Unless we all unitedly agree that the conditions are pathetic and will worsen, nothing is going to change.

They are not going to do what you tell them, 5 year is just an example, people are waiting for 9 years. I say 5 becaue even ROW is 2 year back, so asking 2 would be like take it off...Dude,
Don't you like the second part which says
2) Limit the Maximum waiting time, say if one applicant is waiting for 5 years than country cap should be exempted and he should be given a preference over a person who�s PD is just 1 year old.
I personally think 5 years is a long wati. 2 years may be reasonable.

unitednations was sharing valuable insight about the H1B denial trend in the begning. Then, every one started dragging him in to useless discussions with all kind of arguments.
How does it matter now?. Whether the mess was caused by desi companies alone or with the help of some guys who got H1 for their wife , brother, mother and the local policeman who learned SAP in a week, the damage is already done.

CP ordered - 08/08
(one year and one day since we applied for AOS)
I got an email today from USCIS stating this
Current Status: Card production ordered.
I did not receive any other approval notice. I hope this means that our 485 is approved and the cards have been ordered ?

Here is my story...When I came here 12 years back, for initial 3 years I did not applied for GC. Then I started my GC with a employer, company lawyer kept on saying that he filed my GC for one & half year but he did not...One fine morning, I realized that my lawyer was seating on my papers as per instructions from HR..lost around 2 years there. After talking to HR, lawyer filed LC and LC was approved thereafter two & half years..Unfortunatley, at the time of filing I-140, company declared "Bankruptcy" and once agian I was on the road. Joined new employer. New employer said I have to complete one year to file GC. After one year filed LC, my I-140 approved and last FOUR years on EAD. This roller coster is because of...I am from "Retrogressed" conuthry and PD is getting retrogressing now & then...
Still feels that GC is just a part of journey of my life...

This thread was opened for working on Action Item. EB2-I community is giving all stupid reasons to divert us from our Action Item. Please stay focused and lets work on Action Items.
We already sent petition to support those three bills. What else shall we do now. We are running out of time and only few days left before Congress goes on recess (or whatever the term is). WE MUST ACT NOW.

Send flowers to DOS/USCIS thanking them for holding us at 2001 and thank them in advance for having decided to hold us at 2001 in 2009.
May be guys in 2001 and 2002 can send them something bigger/better - send them tree saplings.May be you guys will get your GC when those trees yield.

Setting up company is just the first step for Self-Employment. The key things is to demonstrate that new job is in same/similar classification and company has offered "bonafide" job, not just job on paper.
BTW, it is not necessary to have LLC. The corporate structure could be S-Corp or C-Corp also.

The ones who are not staying in line and cutting ahead are the EB3 folks who are porting to EB2 ! Their line is the EB3 line. But they want to cut into the EB2 line whenever convenient. Atleast thats how most EB2 (and EB3) folks perceive the PD porting process.

Even if the republicans loose heavily but retain control of congress, they will be mortally wounded and so things will be hard to predict. The stock market has betted that control of both houses will remain with GOP.
That's why I said before;some people are pretty sure that if democrats win, we will be alright. In my view it may turn out to be the opposite. Democrats favor illegal immigration. I think they are less inclined to pass our SKULL bill alone. I strongly believe that that democrats would rather attach our bill to the CIR/illegal alien amnesty bill, which still will be controversial to pass. Even if Sen. Specter and his team manage to flood America with illegal aliens, then we may take a hit from the collateral effects caused by millions of applications at USCIS.
If Republicans win, we are problably in a better shape.
