TIP: Print them you should be able to read.:) My checks cleared on the same day got the receipts yesterday. So you should be getting them today or tomorrow. I am not sure if attorney can chose whether to send it to you or not.
I think both Attorney and we will get the receipts. By the way it may be too early to ask but can't control it .. any one got FP notice or EAD's?

I came to us on H4 in 2007 and the got my H1B in 2008. I am not getting a job on H1 yet so i want to know that till when the H1B be valid as I am not genarating any salery and my consultant is not running my pay roll ?
And if the H1 goes dorment then what can be done next?
Hmmm ... not generating salary, means you are not working currently. But your employer hasn't revoked your H1 ( or work authorization, i don't recall exact term), which mostly they do or are supposed to do. Which is good, if you have freindly terms ask for to be sent on un-paid leave. Plus if you have paid leave pending, maintain that so incase your employer has to issue pay check, he can tap into this.

I understand we want to stand alone with our issues and that may be favourable to us from an anti-immi stance taken by many in Govt and otherwise. I am not sure though if by alienating EB retrogression issue with H1B increase we will be able to get anything done.
Our main supporters are teh corporations who hire us and want us to be perm. There bigger concern right now is getting more people who can hired on H1B. Unless we threaten mass exodus, I do not think we stand a chance if we try to run alone with only EB retrogression issue.
People (Senators aginst CIR or SKILL and even NUmbers USA) may say that OK we are not against you folks, but the point is will those same people do something about our predicament if this was the only thing on the table, I dont think so.

I guess it would have to be a pretty big and wild rally to have the police getting involved. :p
But Chandu raises an excellent point. There is much more to a rally than just turning up. Some one from core can probably help with detailed instructions.. these are just my thoughts.. feel free to add/correct.. (PS: I have zero experience in rallies, by the way)
First, I suppose checking with the local authorities and informing them of your plans, expected turnout, location, duration etc before anything else is a good idea. Bad idea to have have an unexpected crowd turn up randomly in a public place.
Organize placards, banners, podium, hand outs etc. Dont forget first aid kits, water.
Figure out who is going to be the spokesperson for the rally. Would be pretty silly if a reporter does come there and no one knows how to articulate well.
The spokesperson should check with core regarding message etc. This is important.
If there is critical mass for the rally, and the authorities are informed etc, then contact the local news and inform them as well..

Please do a thorough research on how effective rallies are based on our situation. We do not have much political support - no government support, no public support - and not the least of sympathy though we contribute so much.
In case of unanticipated actions - we may never know if politically we will have any help fro higher ups.
Also - please check the numbers ( remember though a lot of people show enthusiasm in discussion forums, in reality you will find very less people taking part)
So please do your homework and do a lot of discussion. Do not hurry up and rush into rallies. A lot of rallies are done by disciplined leaders who plan these well in advance.

My Attorney mailed 225 Packages via DHL shipped at June 30 12:00 EST on Saturday, I was 5 minutes late so mine went on 4:00 PM FEDEX.
I dont why FEDEX guys are delivering yet they said will eb delivered by 8:00 AM on Monday but their website shows "Estimated delivery Jul 2, 2007 by 10:30 AM" it is 10:30 already and there is no update yet(may be they don't have enough trucks to carry all the application to DOS).

I have only seen just one or two cases so far with receipts I mean filed on Jul 2. I myself am a Jul 2 filer NSC filer with TSC approved 140 and haven't gotten anything yet....I also had the LUd on 7/28/07.
I have counted my self from diff forums and seen around 10+ cases who got their RN's.

I think INS or BCCS director have authority to make this provision for filing I-485 when dates are not current.This will atleast relieve many of us and our spouses/dependants from current uncertain situation.
Can we all concentrate on this and take one at a time.
What do we all have to do toward the efforts on this?

For my husband, even though it said card production ordered, the tier 1 customer service said that it was still pending.
But still he got his card, then only after a few days, the cust service also said the same status..

NY Times, Washington Post, Reuters, Yahoo News are a few to name. Bollywood, has recently issued a statement providing its full support to Immigration Voice, the non profit organization behind the flower campaign.
